Please Note: When we started our search service almost 10 years ago we were the only ones providing a completely automated, totally secure search service. Since then, as we expected, a number of less expensive imitators have popped up. If you choose to use one of them, before you provide your sensitive personal and family information, BE SURE THAT THEIR SITE IS SECURE. Transmitting sensitive information through unsecure means can subject that information to identity theft. Remember - you get what you pay for!

As a consumer your loved one may have gotten life insurance from any number of sources. It may have been purchased privately or gotten from a job or a trade union or association ("group life"), a mortgage, credit card, or auto or bank loan ("credit life"), or as a "rider" on his or her health insurance.

Military retirees may pay insurance premiums by allotment and their beneficiaries may not know.

Grandparents often buy "paid up" life insurance naming their grandchildren as beneficiaries and may neglect to tell us.

Problems occur and money is lost, however, when a death occurs and policy documents, if we even know about or remember them, can't be located.

If you believe that there is a policy out there somewhere with your name or your children's names on it and you don't know how or where to start looking, remember, LostPolicy.com has but one goal - to assure to the best of our ability that anyone with a need and a right to know has a secure means to find out.

What We Do

Once you have initiated a search (which takes about 10 minutes) we do the rest. We contact more than one hundred of the top life insurance companies/company groups in America (that together account for more than 95% of all individual and industrial life insurance ACTUALLY ISSUED), notify them of the insured's death, and request searches of their records and those of all affiliated and/or subsidiary companies. Should coverage be located, or if further information is required, companies will notify beneficiaries and/or legal representatives directly. Insurance companies do not contact or otherwise share information with LostPolicy.com. (A list of companies contacted is available upon request).

Costs:

  • The cost of a search is $79.95 which must be paid either by credit card or your Paypal account prior to a search being initiated. (You DO NOT need a Paypal account to initiate a search).
  • Any insurance proceeds located belong entirely to beneficiaries. LostPolicy.com never charges a percentage of any funds located.
